In 2019, Jane Kidman had a startling revelation:

She was unhappy with her life. And she couldn't figure out why.

​

Suddenly, it hit her: the doldrums of endless office work had muddled her thoughts and numbed her to the point of misery. She wracked her brain to figure out a solution, and when she looked at a photo of herself and her best friend as children, enjoying the winter wonderland of Oslo, she had an idea.

Today, Jane runs Nordic Nature Babes, a ski society that promotes female friendship and a respect for nature. Through sports and events, girls can join each other for unforgettable adventures in the beautiful snowy lands of Norway while fostering lifelong bonds. Though the society was originally founded for cross-country skiing only, the group has extended their reach to snowboarding and downhill skiing as well. For those who are not so athletically inclined but still wish to appreciate the beauty of nature, many events allow for relaxation and enjoyment of scenery, snacks, and socializing.

Jane hopes that every single girl who visits a Nordic Nature Babe event feels the joy of experiencing nature at its finest while forging beautiful, meaningful friendships.
